Just Keep Fighting

What is there to fight if I am none to the fight?

<December Diaries>

A strong sentence I was told at dawn, beside the harbour front by a good friend of mine.

He had already gone through trauma and mental issues, where all hope is lost. Going through a breakup, being boycotted at school, failing all grades, a non-supplemental family relationship. He’d went through it all, and I understand where these feelings came from. And to that I may never understand.

As the weather becomes more dark and gloomy, colder and more isolating, more people have come up to me about their concerns and past experiences, in which the reason to fight was the biggest of them all.

The fast-paced city vibes, constant comparison and mockery, the feeling to always live up to expectations, all seclude the self from others, or past events.

What is the reason to keep on with life (fighting) if everything is against me?

Today marks the first day of December, and a start of a new chapter, changes and challenges. Everyone has a different reason to go on with life, whether its for a purpose, for yourself or for others, I hope you find the sole reason that keeps you moving.

December can either be a fulfilling or exhausting month, with tests for many and other indescribable obstacles, there are still 30 days left until a new year, and there’s no reason for me, and all of you readers to waste such a precious time you may never get back in life.

Is it yourself? An exam? A relationship? or something that I can’t even think about.

Or is it that burning desire of fulfilment?

It’s time your sparks and lights.

Whether you’re a struggling teenager like me or a remarkable adult, I hope December can make you all the best versions of yourself, and find the reason that makes you who you are.
